The Alsace Wine Route

The ultimate escapade right by the hotel

During your stay at our hotel, enjoy the Alsace Wine Route. One of the oldest wine routes in France, this charming trail stretches out over 170 km. 20 km from Hohrod, this legendary route invites you to traverse Alsace’s wine country to discover its varieties of grapes and its fine wines. Established in 1952, it stretches from Marlenheim in the north of Alsace to Thann in the south of Alsace. There are lots of things you’ll be able to see and do along the route, including visiting wine cellars, tastings, folkloric events and watching harvests. Many of the villages along the route also hold separate wine festivals between April and October.

The Wine Route crosses numerous villages that rank among the most beautiful in Alsace. Be sure to stop in Eguisheim, France’s favourite village in 2013 and regularly listed among.
“France’s Most Beautiful Villages”. You’ll also be able to appreciate its medieval architecture, its small lanes lined with flowers, its pretty timber-framed houses and its 13th century church. Also, don’t forget to visit Kaysersberg, France’s favourite village in 2017, with its Romanesque church and its beloved fortified bridge. Then there’s Ribeauville with its three castles and Saint-Grégoire church, plus don’t miss out on Riquewihr and Andlau.
